MPEG-4 versus
JPEG
2000 compression
algorithm ???
JPEG
2000 advantages
include: Higher Resolution 207 360 Pixels/Channel @ 100 ips,
Higher Recording Rate up to 240 ips, easier image indexing, no mosaic
(block) effect during playback, better Playback Image Quality, stable
images when rapid movement occurs. Comparably priced 8 Channel MPEG-4
DVR disadvantages include: Lower Resolution usually 103 680 pixels @ 100
ips, Lower Recording Rate usually 100 ips maximum, Poorer Playback image
quality, unstable images when rapid movement occurs.
